Are you only for ULL Students?
No. Theater Street Apartments in Lafayette, LA is not affiliated with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL), and you do not need to be a student to live here. We welcome students, young professionals, families, and all qualified applicants. We’re a popular choice for off-campus housing near ULL, located just 1.8 miles from campus and close to South Louisiana Community College.
What is an individual lease at Theater Street Apartments?
An individual lease means you are responsible only for your own rent, not your roommates’. If a roommate moves out or misses a payment, you are not financially liable. This leasing style is ideal for students and renters looking for shared apartments in Lafayette without shared financial risk.
Can Theater Street match me with roommates?
Yes. We offer a roommate matching program for residents who don’t already have roommates. During your application, you’ll complete a lifestyle questionnaire so we can pair you with compatible residents. It’s designed to help you feel comfortable and at home.
Do Theater Street Apartments come furnished?
Yes. We offer furnished and unfurnished apartments in Lafayette. Our furniture package typically includes:
- Living room: sofa, lounge chair, coffee table, end table, media center
- Kitchen/dining: dining table and chairs (varies by floor plan)
- Bedroom: full-size or queen bed, dresser, nightstand, desk, chair
Is parking available at Theater Street Apartments?
Yes. Residents can purchase an annual parking permit that allows access to all non-guest parking spaces inside our gated community.
How close is Theater Street Apartments to ULL and Lafayette attractions?
Theater Street Apartments is just over a mile from ULL’s campus and minutes from popular Lafayette destinations, including restaurants, grocery stores, Cajun Field, and the Cajundome. Our location provides quick access to campus life, shopping, and entertainment.
How do residents pay rent?
Rent is due on the 1st of each month.
Residents can pay:
- Online through the secure resident portal (credit/debit card, one-time or recurring)
- In person with check or money order
Do I need a lease guarantor?
A guarantor is optional. Applicants may either add a qualified lease guarantor or provide a refundable security deposit equal to two months’ rent. The deposit is returned at the end of the lease based on move-out condition and does not apply toward rent.
Can former residents still access the resident portal?
Yes. Past residents can log in through the Past Resident section under the Resident tab on our website to access payment records and account information.
Are pets allowed at Theater Street Apartments?
Yes. Theater Street is a pet-friendly apartment community in Lafayette. We welcome pets and understand they’re part of the family. Contact our leasing office for breed guidelines, pet fees, and policy details.
What utilities are included in rent?
The following utilities are included:

Is renter’s insurance required?
Yes. All residents must carry renter’s insurance with at least $100,000 in liability coverage before move-in. Personal property coverage is recommended. Proof of insurance must be provided and kept current throughout the lease.
